Events

Each year, we try to bring speakers, such as neurologists, to campus, hold fundraisers for Alzheimer's research and care, such as bake sales and benefit concerts, and participate in local RI events, such as the Walk to End Alzheimer's (September) and the Brain Fair (March). Even if you do not attend club meetings, you are more than welcome to be involved in putting together these events.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all of our events will be virtual and remote. However, we will still be hosting multiple events, such as the Walk to End Alzheimer's, and various panel events or live music events. These events will be listed below and updated accordingly!

Panel Event!

We are excited to announce the Spring 2021 BAA panel event titled "The Forgotten Population of COVID-19: Dementia Patients and Caregivers". This panel will be taking place this Wednesday, March 31st from 5-6 pm EST.

The panel will feature Dr. Laura Stanton, Clinical Director of Outpatient Geriatric Psychiatry at Miriam Hospital, and Allison Cipriano, Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Memory Support Specialist at the Anchor Bay Assisted Living Community in East Providence, RI. We will be discussing how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted individuals living with dementia and has complicated caregiving. There will also be time for Q&A at the end! Please see the attached flyer for more details.

If you plan on attending, please let us know by filling out this form. In the form, you will also be able to include a question you'd like us to ask the panelists.

Please use the following Zoom link to access the meeting (provided after filling out the form).

We hope to see you there!
